Who we are
NxtSeat provides scheduling and shop-management software to barbershops in the United States. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our website, create a shop account, or book an appointment through a shop that uses NxtSeat.
Roles
- Shop owners: We are the business collecting account, billing, and usage data.
- End clients (people who book): The barbershop is generally responsible for its client relationship. We process booking and contact data on the shop's instructions as a service provider.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, auth identifiers, shop details, US state, billing IDs (via Stripe).
- Client & booking data: names, emails, phones, notes, optional reference photos, appointment history.
- Payments metadata: tokens and status for post-service pay links; card processing is handled by Stripe for the shop.
- Technical data: logs, cookies for auth, IP addresses (standard hosting).
- Product analytics: pages you visit, buttons you tap, and (when you have a shop account) your user id, email, shop, and plan. Session replay records a masked view of the screen so we can fix broken flows. Passwords and payment fields are masked. Analytics run through PostHog in the United States.
- Directory (if shop opts in): business name, address, phone, map coordinates.
How we use it
Provide and secure the service, send transactional email (confirmations, reminders), optional SMS when enabled with consent, process subscriptions, understand how the product is used, fix bugs, improve the shop experience, and comply with law.
Sharing
We use subprocessors listed on our Subprocessors page (hosting, database, email, payments). We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention & security
Data is stored in the US via our infrastructure providers, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (provider). We use row-level security and access controls. Retention follows active subscription plus reasonable backup periods; shops may request export or deletion subject to legal holds.
Your rights (US state privacy laws)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct personal information. Shop owners may contact support. End clients should contact the barbershop first; we assist shops with verified requests.
Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
